Preventable Medical Errors Kill 440,000 Patients Every Year
Posted on May 15, 2014
As recently reported by takejusticeback.com, research has confirmed that 440,000 medical patients are killed every year in the United States due to preventable medical errors. That is the equivalent of the population of a large city like Atlanta, GA dying each year due to avoidable medical errors.
These deaths cost our county many billions of dollars every year and the deaths amount to nothing short of an epidemic of medical negligence. Despite this, corporate front groups are hard at work in the Untied States Congress and in state legislatures across the land to limit accountabiity for negligent doctors and limit access to the civil justice system for the victims of this epidemic of negligence.
